Sorensen Gross provided pre-construction services, construction management and general contracting services for several projects at Bishop International Airport.
Airside expansion included Golf T Hangers and Storage Tanks. The budgeted amount for the project was $12 million, but by reviewing all design drawings prior to release for construction we were able to make value engineering revisions to the layout of facilities and utilities resulting in significant savings
Landside expansion included an addition to the passenger terminal with related demo, landscaping, signage, boiler and chiller replacement, HVAC and electrical construction. This was a two-story addition to the ticket lobby consisting of 11 ticket counters, 3 offices, and 3 takeaway belts. Addition was structural steel with standing seam metal and PVC membrane roofs.
Terminal expansion involved the addition of approximately 46,850 SF to the passenger terminal of the airport, adding four new airline gates and a 60-foot widening of the connector bridge between the concourse and the ticketing/bag claim areas. Project included related demolition, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, electrical, and signage construction, as well as site work and civil improvements, including utility relocation and aircraft apron demolition and paving.
